Bobby met Amanda for coffee while he was traveling for work. After going to the wrong coffee shop, they enjoyed the conversation, and Bobby knew he needed to get back to Baton Rouge ASAP. Bobby would then travel to Baton Rouge as often as he could to visit Amanda and Stella for long weekends. Bobby was working remote, so many times he found it reasonable to work remote from Baton Rouge.


The couple grew to know each other during these trips. Stella even let bobby take her for a walk across the street to go potty…Amanda says that means that Stella was learning to trust him. Amanda made it clear that she and Stella were as she puts it, a package deal.


Eventually Bobby asked Amanda to move to Texas (so far away). She agreed, and then told her family and friends she was moving. Her nieces were not happy…


Amanda grew to like Texas. Texas is definitely in the top five states she’s lived in.


On Saint Patrick's day weekend, Bobby and Amanda went to City Park so Stella go for a walk. This is Stella’s favorite place to go off leash and play in Baton Rouge. At the end of the walk, Bobby asked Amanda to get married and she said yes, and maybe cried a little.
